On January 15th, 1919, a horrifying disaster struck Boston's North End. A massive reservoir containing nearly 2.3 million gallons of molasses collapsed. The sticky goo surged through the streets like a raging river, obliterating everything in its path. Scores of people lost their lives, and many more sustained injuries. Buildings were crushed, and
